Teenage media guru, sports mogul, and entrepreneur Michael Gruen comes from humble beginnings and has accomplished a great deal and is only 19-years-old.  Michael has worked in sports since he was 11-years-old, starting off volunteering for various athletes’ charities, writing articles for various publications including Rolling Stone and Fansided, and interviewing celebrities. Are Teen Entrepreneurs Discriminated Against?

Being a teen entrepreneur, my credentials are always questioned. In society, there's a preconceived notion that age and success are dependent on each other, but teenagers have proven that not to be the case. I remember when I landed my first client like it was yesterday. He was a young athlete on the New York Giants and when he saw me, he saw someone determined to make the client more successful, not just a 16-year-old teen. That's why we had success working together. Age is but a number, it's the credentials, skillset, and determination that counts. People need to look at the credentials of the person, independently from age, in order to ensure success. In fact, I venture to say that determining that one can't get a job done due to age is a form of discrimination.
